For several years we have had the privilege to work alongside young people selected to carry out their Civil Service with us.

 

Some of them flank our operators in different tasks, experimenting themselves in the everyday support to migrants, in our job and education orientation service, and in the house-search support service. Others participate in the creation and maintenance of our awareness campaigns, fundraising campaigns, and in the projects in the schools, aimed at promoting a culture of hospitality.

 

In different ways, these young people have the opportunity to learn about a complex phenomenon such as that of migration, strengthen their intercultural skills, learn how to relate with vulnerability, and acquire valuable experience in the social field. On the other hand, their presence is enriching for us: with their energy and sensitivity, they bring an important contribution in our work and in our beneficiaries’ lives.
